Sarah David, CAVE 6-12 English Teacher
Hi, all! I'm CAVE's 6-12 English/Language Arts teacher, Sarah David. The 2022-2023 school year will be my 9th year with Cameron Academy of Virtual Education. Prior to teaching at CAVE, I taught for two years at a rural high school north of La Crosse, WI. At that time, I was also the director of Forensics and Drama at the high school; those are two interests of mine. Some of my other interests include baking, scrapbooking, gardening, and exploring. I will read just about anything, and I love to write, especially fiction. I have a Master's degree in Creative Writing and English Education. For a few semesters, I also taught college English part time at UW-River Falls, but I left in Spring 2020 to focus more time on my family, health, and CAVE. I am returning to UWRF this fall to teach a couple virtual courses.
My family and I live in the countryside near Menomonie, WI. My husband and I have three young sons-- Rayden, who is eight; Torin, who is four; and Corentin, who is two. As a family, we love to travel, camp, and hike. We adore being outdoors and exploring new places and events. We have raised chickens, pigs, and lambs, and currently have a border beagle puppy named Cedar.
The CAVE teachers, myself included, love to get to know our students. Whether you're a new incoming student, a returning student, or a parent, we look forward to working with you this year. Please contact me if you have any questions about English or simply want to chat. My contact information is on the Contact Me page. Thanks!
